1. When will the new police station be completed?

A new Ponca City Public Safety Center is currently under construction and anticipated to be completed the summer of 2022.  It is being constructed in the block east of the existing 1974 building and comprised of a 36,000 square feet two-story building and a 10,500 square feet 16-bed jail.  A judicial center will be created in the former building to separate municipal court operations and prosecution operations.

2. What do I do if I get a ticket?

Call the Municipal Court Clerk at (580)767-0382 within 5 days, or go to the Court Clerks window at 200 E. Oklahoma Avenue (Mon-Fri 9:00am – 5:00pm). If you fail to do so, a warrant may be issued for your arrest.

3. Is there a curfew in Ponca City?

Yes. For those 15-17 years of age, the curfew is 11:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 12:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday. The hours are extended to midnight every day of the week from Memorial Day to Labor Day. For those younger than 15 years of age, the curfew is 10:30 p.m. each evening throughout the year.

4. If I am the victim of a crime, what do I do?

Call (580) 767-0370 for non-emergency issues and an officer will be assigned to come and take a report. You can also come to the Police Station at 200 E. Oklahoma Avenue to report a crime. Call 911 if you are experiencing an emergency and need the Police.

5. What is the maximum speed in a school zone?

The maximum speed in a school zone is 20 miles per hour. School zones are strictly enforced by patrol officers.

6. How many Police Officers does Ponca City have?

We have 55 allotted positions for Sworn Police Officers. That is everyone from the Chief to the newest officer.

7. How do I find out if a warrant has been issued for me, or someone else?
