1. What is the Wind Power Program?

The Oklahoma Wind Energy Center was the State's first large-scale commercial wind energy project. The Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority (OMPA) purchases and transmits wind-generated electricity from 34 General Electric 1.5-megawatt turbines located northeast of Woodward, Oklahoma. Wind-generated electricity is offered to our customers through the Utility Billing Office.

2. How is the sewer portion of my bill calculated?

Customers' sewer averages are based on an average of their water consumption during the months of December, January, and February. This average is recalculated every July and reset as a new average. Any customer with excessive water usage during these months will need to please advise the office when repairs have been made, so a more true and correct average may be recalculated.

3. How often is residential refuse collected?

Residential refuse services are twice a week, Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday, depending on where you reside.
