Parks & Recreation, with 22 full-time employees, nine seasonal employees, and one part-time employee, is responsible for facility and grounds maintenance for 28 parks as well as grounds maintenance and planting beds for most Ponca City facilities, such as City Hall, the Library, Hutchins Memorial Auditorium, Marland's Grand Home, the Police Station, three Fire stations, and the Marland Mansion.

In addition, Parks & Recreation is responsible for the maintenance of L.A. Cann Gardens, the downtown planting beds, and approximately 43 miles of curb edging on arterial streets. Park maintenance crews maintain the Pioneer Woman grounds and planting beds through a maintenance agreement with the State of Oklahoma.
